Morning Reflection
The morning sun reflects off Portland's "Big Pink" building into a thick channel of fog settled over the Willamette River.

I was riding in the passenger seat of a car and just barely managed to get out my iPhone and snap this before we moved past.

Magnavox Odyssey 2
Probably the _least_ ergonomic thing ever created but what a looker!

Magnavox Odyssey 2
Fellow Panic-er Garrett found this abandoned on the side of the road and donated it to the Retro Room.

Box mostly intact but slightly moisture damaged.

Odyssey 2 Games
Dynasty looks promising!

Including the lawsuit-avoiding "K.C. Munchkin"!

Mac G4 Cube Brochure
Yes, those 22" monitors really were $4,000. I know because Cabel and I both indulged when they came out.

Psion Series 5
Battery-powered pocket computer / PDA with touch screen.

Sega Genesis XBAND Adapter
You plugged this cartridge into your Genesis, and plugged a phone line into the cartridge to access XBAND -- an online Genesis game network / channel.

Or, at least, you did if you lived in one of the few cities it was actually offered.

Note the price markdown, followed by the price markup. Retro economics in action.

GBA Micro 20th Anniversary Edition
Not _technically_ a very retro system, just retro styled. That Famicom look is one of a kind.

CueCat Scanner
Radio Shack practically gave these away to anyone who'd take one. The idea was you'd scan barcodes in magazines to be taken to a corresponding URL. A bit like a neanderthal QR code.

Approximately zero people were interested in doing so.

iPod (Click Wheel)
The better of the late-generation classic iPods, without the 4 horrible touch-sensitive buttons.
